The bad mom club - From mom guilt to mom glory

  • Studio 108 321 Wallace St #206, Nanaimo, BC V9S 5B6 Canada (map)

As mothers, we are torn by mixed messages.

On one end, we are told that we should aim to be selfless and ever present for our children. On the other, we are told we need to double down on our self-care and “me time” to avoid burnout.
What results from this crash of expectations is a sense of guilt and shame that leaves us split in half and unable to fully embrace all of the various roles life asks of us.

This workshop series is a way out of this frozen state and into a richer experience of motherhood and life as a whole.
Over three weeks, we will join as a community to find our center between these two extremes. We will nurture a place where self-care can meet selflessness, and perfection can meet imperfection.

Through creative, playful practices pulled from the worlds of Nonviolent communication, emotional alchemy, and somatic embodiment, we will learn to make friends with our inner “bad mom” and see how good we actually are.

This workshop is for you if you are a mom who:
- want to find creative and playful ways out of the daily onslaught of mom guilt
- are seeking to reimagine their roles as mothers and whole, perfectly imperfect people
- are ready for a group of supportive mothers who are redefining the concept of self-care as community care
